Stephenson, Jr., - Historian, Bock Family Association Lincoln Courier August 21, 1934 >From the records of Dorothy Laun Fifth Reunion of the Bock Family The fifth annual reunion of the Bock family was held Sunday, Aug. 19, 1934, at the woman's building at Brainers park. One hundred twenty-five relatives were served dinner at noon. A business meeting was held and the following officers for 1935 were elected: president, Mrs. Edgar Johnson; vice president, Geo. A. Wilmert; secretary-treasurer, Mrs. Harry Begolka. A program was arranged by the retiring officers, Mrs. Ida Martin, Mrs. Ross Gupton and Mrs. Geo. Apel, which consisted of songs by "Slim and Spud," Vernon Apel and William Deavers, and readings by Naomi Steffen. The eldest member p[resent was Adam Bock, Sr., 83, and Donna Marie Johnson, 13 1/2 months was the youngest. Members of the family outside of Logan county present were from Nebraska, Wisconsin, Manito, Decatur, Chicago, Greenville, McLean and Berwyn.
