Stephenson, Jr., - Historian, Bock Family Association Lincoln Courier August 1935 >From the records of Dorothy Laun Bock Reunion Held Sunday One hundred and twenty-five relatives and friends attended the sixth annual Bock reunion held Sunday at the Charles Sparks cottage in Brainerd Park. A basket dinner was served at noon, after which a short program was given. Memorial services were held for Adam Bock, Sr., who died May 30, 1935. Mr. Bock has always been the oldest member present and had attended all five of the previous reunions. Memorial services also held for Mrs. Minnie Hahn, Mrs. Fred Reinhardt and Lewis Meyers. Officers elected for the coming year are: Miss Julia Fulcher, president; Mrs. Walter Gallion, vice president; Mrs. Charles Lauer, secretary- treasurer. Officers who served last year are: Mrs. Edgar Johnson, president; Geo. A. Wilmert, vice president; Mrs. Harry Begolka, secretary-treasurer. This year's program committee consisted of Mrs. Henry Laun, Mrs. Frank Bode and Miss Florence Lauer. The eats committee consisted of Mrs. Ida Martin, Mrs. Minnie Sparks and Mrs. Charles Lauer. The day's program consisted of a vocal duet by Walter Lauer and Elmer Wilmert; a play, "Aunt Aggies' Foreign Exchange," with the following characters, Eloise Levi, Mrs. Grace Lessen, Florence Lauer, Mary Zellhoefer and Verna Mae Robinson, and instrumental music by Elmer Wilmert. Mrs. J. H. Wilmert was the oldest member present and the youngest were: Hal Emment Read, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Read of Lincoln, and Betty Joan Laun, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Laun of Hartsburg. The reunion will be held next year at Brainerd park on the last Sunday in July.
