Stephenson, Jr., - Historian, Bock Family Association July 1953 >From the records of Dorothy Laun Bock Family Has Annual Reunion The 25th annual Bock reunion was Sunday at the Lincoln college gymnasium. A basket dinner was served at noon with approximately 100 members present. After dinner a business meeting was held with Walter Bock, presiding. The oldest lady member present was Mrs. John Warrick of Girard, and was remembered with a centennial plate. The oldest make member present was Charles Apel of Lincoln, and was remembered with a Centennial derby hat. The family of Bernard Kelly came the fartherest distance coming from Batavia, Ia., and they were given a plate. The youngest girl present was Laura Jean Tomlin, 6 months old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Tomlin of Greenview. The youngest boy present was Jerry Gosda, two year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Gustave Gosda of Elkhart. The outgoing officers were: Mrs. John Warrick, Girard, president; William Bock, Elkhart, vice president; Mrs. Elmer C. Wilmert, Lincoln, secretary- treasurer. The following officers were elected for 1954: president Albert Apel of Lincoln; Elmer Braughtigam, Lincoln; Miss Donna Marie Johnson, Greenview, secretary-treasurer. The new officers will shoose the place to have the reunion next year. It will again be held the fourth Sunday in July unless otherwise notified.
