Stephenson, Jr., - Historian, Bock Family Association Lincoln Courier, Lincoln Illinois July 1957 July 1957 >From the records of Dorothy Laun 25th Anniversary Marked by Family More than 100 members attended the recent Bock reunion at Woman's club building here. This was the 25th anniversary of the gathering of the family. Carl G. Lauer, the 25th president of the group and whose mother, Mrs. Mary C. Lauer now of Tucson, Ariz., was the first president, conducted the meeting. A letter was read from Mrs. Lauer. The oldest woman at the reunion was Mrs. Mary Warrick of Girard, 82, and she was presented a corsage. Henry Bock, 79, of Beason was the oldest man present. The youngest were Gail, daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Harold Apel; Mark Ray, son of Mr. And Mrs. Carol Litwiler of Delavan. Mrs. Litwiler, the former Betty Laun, was the youngest member present 22 years ago. Each was presented with a gift. Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Downey of Grand Island, Neb., came the greatest distance and they were given a present. The following officers were elected for 1958: Wlater Bode of Dnavers, president; Harold Apel, Lincoln, vice president, and Miss Marie Martin, Lincoln, secretary and treasurer. Gary Apel played a piano solo, after which the younger children were entertained by fishing for prizes. Next year's reunion will be the fourth Sunday in July at the Woman's Building. The following served as officers for 1956: President, Carl Lauer; vice president, Carl Apel of Lincoln; and secretary and treasurer, Mrs. Elmer C. Wilmert.
