Stephenson, Jr., - Historian, Bock Family Association Pekin Times August 4, 1965 July 31, 1965 >From the records of Dorothy Laun Reunions - Bock Hartsburg - The annual Bock Reunion was held Sunday at Hartsburg - Emden high school with 100 family members and guests present. A potluck dinner was enjoyed at noon. A program was presented, after dinner, and it included two songs by Judy Litwiller, daughter of the Carol Litwillers of Delavan. Miss Elsie Bock, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bock of Lincoln, who has been missionary nurse and spent some time in Ghana, Africa, showed slides and gave a talk on her work in the African field. Officers elected for the new year are: Mrs. Gus Gosda, Lincoln, president; William Bock, Lincoln, Vice-president; and Miss Mabel Martin, Lincoln, secretary - treasurer. Retiring officers included: Mr. And Mrs. Delas Johnson, Middletown, presidents; Mr. And Mrs. Bode, Danvers, vice-presidents; Mrs. Wilma Begolka, Lincoln, secretary-treasurer. Prizes were awarded, during the afternoon to the following: Brenda Gosda, three - year - old daughter of the Gus Gosdas', rural Lincoln, youngest girl present; Steve Wilson, 16 - month old son of the Donald Wilsons of Springfield, youngest boy present; Mrs. Ida Martin, oldest woman present, and August Brantigam of Lincoln, oldest man present. Mrs. Jean Sparks Noffke and her three children of Ohio came the farthest distance.
