Stephenson, Jr., - Historian, Bock Family Association August 4, 1971 >From the records of Dorothy Laun Bock Family Reunion Eighty-six members of the Bock family gathered at the Emden Community House, Sunday July 25th, for their 39th annual reunion. A basket dinner was at noon. Gifts were presented to Mrs. Mary Bode of McLean, Ill., for being the oldest lady present and to her great-grandson, Brett Bode, son of Mr. and Mrs. Myron Bode, Carlock, Ill., the youngest boy present, and to August Brautigam, the oldest man present, and to his great-granddaughter, Renee Steffens, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Steffens, Lincoln, the youngest girl present. A gift was presented to Fred bock of Beecher, Ill., for coming the farthest distance. Four generations from one family were present at the reunion, these being Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bode, McLean, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Bode, Danvers, and Mr. and Mrs. Myron Bode and son , Brett, Carlock, Ill. Officers for the 1972 reunion will be Mr. and Mrs. Dan Bock, Lincoln, co- presidents, Mr. and Mrs. Myron Bode, Carlock, co-vice-presidents, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Apel, Lincoln, secretary-treasurer. Dan Gosda, Lincoln, Illinois, presented a program of magic tricks.
