DENNING ON ZIM'S STAFF

John Denning, Assistant supervisor from East Lincoln township, has resigned
to accept a position on Logan county sheriff's office staff.

Denning's resignation was received by the East Lincoln town board Sunday and
was effective immediately.  The former assistant supervisor was on the job
Monday under Sheriff Ken Zimmerman the first day of the new sheriff's term.

Zimmerman would not say  what position Denning would occupy in his office,
only  that he (Denning) would be a member if the Logan county sheriff's force.

A.J. Englebrecht, supervisor from East Lincoln township appointment to fill
the vacancy created by Denning's resignation, would not be made until the
town board meeting.  Its next regularly scheduled session in a week from
Tuesday.  Denning's current term in the Logan board of supervisors expires in
April 1963.

Resignation of Denning left the board of supervisors one member short as it
met for its December meeting Monday afternoon.  The annual budget and
appropriations initial day of the quarterly session.  The board is also
scheduled to meet Tuesday and then recess until Dec 12 when it will take
final action on the budget.
