Stephenson, Jr., - Historian, Bock Family Association On file Lincoln Public Library, Lincoln, Illinois Lincoln Evening Courier, Lincoln, Illinois Tuesday March 6, 1945 pg 6 col 6 Henrietta Bock Dies in Peoria Mrs. Henrietta Bock, 84, widow of Louis Bock of Elkhart, died at 7:20 p.m. Monday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. B. C. Meyers, 600 Kansas st., Peoria. The body was taken to Sheets Funeral home where the funeral will be at 1:45 p.m. Thursday and at 2 o'clock at St. John's church with the Rev. J. A. Hoefer, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Elkhart Cemetery. Mrs. Bock was born Dec. 13, 1860 in Germany and she came to the United States 66 years ago. Her marriage to Louis Bock took place Jan. 29, 1884 in Elkhart and he died in 1897. Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Ross Gupton, Emden; Mrs. B. C. Meyers, Mrs. Howard Blinns, Peoria; Mrs. Joseph Gunspen, Pekin and Louis O. Bock, Fancy Prairie. There are five grandchildren. A sister, Mrs. Caroline Hassel of Lincoln, also survives. Mrs. Bock was a member of St. John's church in Lincoln. ----- Funerals Henrietta Bock The funeral of Mrs. Henrietta Bock was at 1:45 p.m. Thursday at Sheets Funeral home and at 2 o'clock at St. John's church with the Rev. J. A. Hoefer, pastor, and the Rev. Walter Lauer, of Pekin, officiating. Mrs. Elmer Wilmert and Mrs. John Gockel accompanied by Mrs. Paul Hauffe sand "Ivory Palaces," "In the Garden" and "Beyond the Sunset." Pallbearers were carl, Jacob, and Herman Lauer, Abe Fulscher, Everett Bock and Herbert Steffens. Burial was in Elkhart cemetery.
