Stephenson, Jr., - Historian, Bock Family Association On file in the Lincoln Public Library The Lincoln Daily Courier, Lincoln, Illinois Saturday 18 March 1961 pg 5 col 4 Henry Bock's Funeral Rites will be Monday Henry Bock, a retired farmer of the Beason community, died at 10:30 p.m. Friday at his home after a long illness. The body is at Holland and Barry Funeral Home where friends may call Sunday afternoon and evening. Services will be at 2 p.m., Monday from St. John Evangelical and reformed church of which he was a member. Rev. H. J. Barth will officiate and burial will be in Union Cemetery. The deceased was born at Lawndale Feb. 27, 1878, the son of Adam and Louisa Willmert Bock. His marriage to Minnie Awe took place at Lawndale March 9, 1904, and she died in 1939. He leaves a daughter, Hilda of Beason; five sons, Walter Bock, Carl A. Bock and Adam F. Bock of Lincoln, and William E. Bock of Broadwell; a brother, Adam Bock of Beason; a sister, Miss Louisa Bock of Lincoln; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister. Mr. Bock was on the church council and a member of the Brotherhood of St. John church. He was also a member of the deaconess hospital board and of the Farm Bureau.
