Stephenson, Jr., - Historian, Bock Family Association William M. Bock Peking - William Merle Bock, 80, of Peking died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2005, at his home. He was born Nov. 11, 1924, in Sweetwater, son of Lewis Otto and Grace Fern Weaver Bock. He married Betty A. Jones in 1947 in Pekin. Mr. Bock worked at American Distilling Co. in Pekin from 1948 until he retired in 1990. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of Pekin Moose Lodge 916 and First United Methodist Church of Pekin, where he was a former member of the board of trustees. He was a former member of the Pekin Elks. Survivors: wife, Betty; daughter, Christine (husband, Phil) Webb of Pekin; two grandchildren; and brother, George (wife, Lorretta) Bock of Springfield. Services: 11:30 a.m. Monday, Preston-Hanley Funeral Home Pekin chapel, the Rev. Terry C. Edele officiating. Entombment: Glendale Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
