Stephenson, Jr., - Historian, Bock Family Association The Lincoln Evening Courier, Lincoln Illinois Monday October 3, 1949 pg 5 col 4 On file in the Lincoln Public Library Funeral Mrs. Bock in Lincoln Monday Mrs. Anna M. Bock, 78, formerly of Elkhart, died at 2:35 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Hospital, Mattoon. She had been living in Mattoon since 1928. The body was taken to the Holland and Barry Funeral home here, where funeral services were at 3:30 p.m. Monday. Burial was in Elkhart Cemetery. She was born April 7, 1871, in Waverly, Ohio, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Steinhour. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Julia Miller, Decatur; three sons, George, Mattoon; Gerald, Leroy; Everett, Williamsville. There are nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Her husband and one son, Edwin, preceded her in death. Mrs. Bock was a member of the Nazarene church.
