Stephenson, Jr., - Historian, Bock Family Association Adam Bock, 84, dies at hospital Adam Bock, Sr., 84, well known retired farmer, died at 8:40 o'clock Thursday morning at Deaconess hospital, following an extended illness. He had been in failing health for the past few years and in recent weeks his condition was extremely serious. Mr. Bock was born in Germany, January 5, 1851, and when 19 years of age started farming in Logan county in the Beason neighborhood. He retired and moved to this city in October, 1910. He was married March 22, 1877, in Lincoln to Louise Wilmert, whose death occurred in 1899. October 25, 1910, he married Anna Richter, who survives. He also leaves the following sons and daughters: Henry and Adam Bock, Jr. of Beason; Mrs. Katie Pittenger of Atlanta and Miss Louise Bock at home. Two sisters, Mrs. Henry Wilmert of Atlanta and Mrs. Minnie Lawn of Middletown also survive. This evening the body will be removed from the Sheets Home to the Bock home at 415 Seventh street, where short services will be held at 1:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon and at 2 o'clock from St. John's church. Rev. J.A. Hoefer will conduct the services and burial will be in Union cemetery.
