The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net *********************************************************** LOGAN COUNTY, IL - OBITUARIES 1962 Born Chicago, Cook County, IL- Died Lincoln, Logan County, IL BRYAN "TUBBY" Zimmerman Bryan "Tubby" Zimmerman, 56, of 1236 Nicholson Road died suddenly at 2:15 a.m. Wednesday, 22 Dec 1962, while on vacation in Daytona Beach, Fla. Zimmerman had been employed as a maintenance man at Lehn and Fink prior to his retirement. He was a member of Holy Family Church, Eagles Lodge 2708, and the Odd Fellows. He was also a member of the third and fourth Degree Knights of Columbus and was presently serving as faithful captain of the fourth Degree. He was born 22 Feb 1924, in Chicago, and the son of Bryan and Ida Denning Zimmerman. He married Jackie Douglas, 19 March 19, at Holy Family Church. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Allen, in California, and James, Lincoln, and one granddaughter, Susan Zimmerman, Pekin. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. His funeral will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Holy Family Church, with Rev. Norman Goodman officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. at Kerrigan Funeral Home, with an Eagle memorial service at 7 p.m. and a rosary at 8 a.m.
