Stephenson, Jr. Lincoln Times, Lincoln, Illinois April 6, 1893 Dunnagan On Thursday the news reached this city of the death of I. R. Dunnagan at his home in Chicago on Wednesday. The end came very suddenly as Mr. Dunnagan was apparently enjoying the best of health when, without warning, he was taken sick and expired in a few moments. The deceased was born at Edwardsville, Madison county, August 9th, 1826. He moved to this city with his family a few years ago and resided on North Kankakee street. Last September he removed with his wife and daughters to Chicago, where his two sons have been engaged in business for several years. He lived a quiet, unostentatious life and enjoyed the true friendship of all who knew him well. The deceased leaves a wife and four grown children Leslie, Edward, Minnie, and Mary. The remains were brought to this city on Thursday for burial, which occurred at 1:30 on the following day. The services were held from the Methodist church of which the deceased had been an active member, Rev. E. D. Wilkin officiating. The remains were interred in Union cemetery.
