Fulcher Transcription by William L. Stephenson, Jr. Lincoln Evening Courier, Lincoln Illinois, October 28, 1952 Wm. J. Fulcher Funeral Service to be Thursday William J. Fulcher, a retired farmer, died at 5:55 a.m., Tuesday, at his home, Mt. Fulscher, near Elkhart. He had been ill for several months. The body was taken to Holland and Barry Funeral Home where friends may call Wednesday afternoon and evening. Services will be at 2 p.m., Thursday from the funeral home and interment will be in Elkhart cemetery. The Rev. E. E. Fletcher will officiate. The deceased was born Aug. 11, 1869 at Waverly, Ohio, the son of Herman and Louise Kuno Fulcher. He married Elizabeth Bock in Elkhart Sept. 17, 1896, they recently celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary. Besides his wife, he leaves son, Abe Fulcher of Williamsville; two daughters, Mrs. Darrell Shockey of Elkhart and Mrs. Richard Stringer of Minden, La., three sisters, Mrs. Anna Mitchell, Mrs. Ida Holman, and Mrs. Louise Stonecipher of Petersburg, Ind.; and two brothers, Henry of Petersburg, Ind. and George of Lincoln. There are also three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Mr. Fulcher was a member of Elkhart Methodist church.
