Gallion of Elkhart Dies Walter A. Gallion, 65. former Elkhart garageman, died at Deaconess hospital at 3:25 a.m. where he had been removed a few hours previous after suffering a stroke of apoplexy at his home in Elkhart at 7 p.m. Monday. Mr. Gallion was a native of Kentucky, born August 5, 1875, and was married to Ella Bock in Springfield, April 15, 1903. Surviving are his wife; one son, Bernard of Detroit, and one sister Miss Betty Gallion, Elkhart. The body was removed to the Goff Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at the Elkhart Christian Church at 2 p.m. Thursday and burial will be in Elkhart cemetery. -----Lincoln evening Courier, Lincoln, Illinois Thursday September 19, 1940 pg 2 Walter Gallion Services for the late Walter Gallion were conducted by Rev. J. Wayne Staley at the Elkhart Christian Church and burial was in Elkhart Cemetery. Mrs. Glen Lucas, accompanied by Miss Evelyn Gilbert, sang "Beautiful Isle" and "City Four Square." Pallbearers were: C. M. Van Meter, R. B. Lanterman, Fred J. Lanterman, J. B. Taylor, J. U. Cassidy and J. A. Harvey. -----
