This does not relate to any surname that I am researching personally. Nancy Father Of Local Man Is Stricken John H. Hawes, Resident of Chino, Summoned Stricken suddenly with a heart attack, John H. Hawes of Chino, died Sunday afternoon at 3:50 o'clock at the family home, Ramona and Philadelphia avenues. Born in Logan county, Ill., on March 25, 1868, he spent most of his life in Whitewater, Kan., where he was engaged in farming. He had been a resident of Chino for the past nine years and was a member of Christ Church, Pomona. Hawes is survived by his widow, two sons, J. Deloss Hawes, Ontario; Lynn A. Hawes, Pomona; one daughter, Mrs. Glenn Warren, Furley, Kan.; one brother, C. D. Hawes, Chino; three sisters, Mrs. Henry Bauman and Mrs. Charlie Gale, both of Whitewater, Kan., and Mrs. V. B. Ballard, Attica, Kan. There are also 13 grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are pending.
