Obituary of Dorothy V. Klemm Lauer

In Loving Memory

Dorothy V. Lauer, daughter of John G. and Cecyle N. Smith Klemm was born on 
February 26, 1917 in Waynesville, Illinois.  She attained the age of 88 
years.  Death occurred on September 28, 2005 at St. John’s North in 
Springfield, Illinois.

Dorothy married Louis C. Lauer on December 15, 1942 at the Lauer home in 
Lincoln Illinois.  He died on August 18, 1981.

Surviving are four daughters, Laura Sue Lauer of Springfield, Illinois, Janice 
(Terry) Mills of Phoenix, Arizona, Nancy J. (James) Sequin of LaGrange Park, 
Illinois and Debbie (Bill) Daugherty of Hillard, Ohio; one sister Emily (Paul) 
Mobley of Brookfield, Missouri; one brother, Paul Klemm of Lincoln, Illinois; 
eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Dorothy and her husband formerly owned Lauer Hardware in Lincoln, Illinois for 
many years.

She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ and Charity Guild.

Burial will be in Union Cemetery.
