Stephenson, Jr. Lincoln Times, Lincoln, Illinois April 6, 1893 Montague Many months of weary waiting, suffering and pain came to and end on Thursday last, when Mrs. Margaret Montague breathed her last in the presence of her nearest relatives. Death came at 11 o’clock in the morning, and must have been a grateful relief to the patient sufferer, who had lived for so many weeks without even a hope of life, and facing the grim destroyer without a tremor, seeking and finding strength and assurance in Christian faith and the knowledge of a life pure and nobly lived. The deceased was born May 16, 1824, in Green county, Kentucky. At the age of nineteen she was united in marriage to george W. Montague, of Greensburg, Ky., where the young couple lived until 1864, when they moved to Illinois and settled in Logan County. Thirteen children came to bless the union, only-four of whom are now living, viz: Daniel B., circulator and collector for the Daily News, Mr.s Arabella Lewis, of this city, Mrs. Lose Hull, of Nebraska, and McLelland, a carpenter, living in this city.
