Zimmerman, 43-years old Illinois State Police sergeant. Was found dead at his home in Benson at 4:20 p.m. Tuesday. Death was attributed to a heart attack. Deputy Logan County coroner Don G. Holland said an inquire will be conducted. Sgt. Zimmerman was seriously injured in an automobile accident 14 March 1959, while he was off duty. A Lincoln women, Mrs. Tesale Dierker was killed in the crash. He had been convalescing and in poor health since that time. He joined the State Police in May 1949. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Holland and Berry Funeral home with L.H. Appel officiating Burial will be in Union Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday afternoon and evening. He was born Oct 11, 1918 at Chicago, a son Bryan and Ida Denning Zimmerman. He married Mildred Scholtes, Aug 22, 1947: He is survived by his wife: his parents, Lincoln, Paula Jo and Marita. both at home. a brother Bryan Jr. Lincoln. and sister Mrs. Natlie Bender, Beason, He was a veteran of W.W.II
