Stephenson, Jr., - Historian, Bock Family Association On file in the Lincoln Public Library The Lincoln Courier, Lincoln, Illinois Monday, January 22, 1913 Mrs. Mary Raber Mrs. Mary Raber, a well known resident of Logan County and member of an excellent family, died at 6:15 o'clock Monday evening, January 20, 1913 at the home of her son George Raber in Sheridan township aged 65 years 10 months and 17 days. Death was due to heart failure and other complications. Mary Bock was born in Germany on March 3, 1847 and came to America in 1870. She located first in Ohio and remained there only 18 months when she came to Logan county and has remained here the remainder of her life. She was married to Ernest Raber, who preceded her in death in the year 1907. She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Minnie C. Sparks, of Chester township; George A. Raber, of Sheridan township; Mrs. Ida E. Martin of davenport, Neb.; Mrs. Nellie M. Harp of Burtonview; Miss Caroline Raber, Island Center, Ia. and Miss Mary Raber at home. She is also survived by the following brothers and sisters, Henry and Adam Bock of Lincoln; Fred bock, New Holland; Mrs. George Appell, Mrs. J. H. Wilmert of Atlanta; Mrs. Minnie Laun of New Holland. The funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the M. E. church in New Holland with burial in Richmond Grove cemetery.
