Obituary of Flora D Saunders

April 6, 1893

Saunders
On Tuesday morning at 5 o’clock Miss Flora D. Saunders passed away at the 
residence of her parents on Pulaski street, aged twenty-six years.  Miss 
Saunders has suffered through the entire winter months, and death was the only 
escape from the dreaded malady – consumption.  The deceased was a seamstress 
in the city, having moved here with her parents about five years ago from 
Atlanta, where she was reared.  Dr. Tinnon will officiate at the funeral, 
which will be held from the family residence this morning after which the 
remains will be taken to Atlanta for burial.
