Stephenson, Jr. – Warrick Family Historian Lincoln Evening Courier, Lincoln, Illinois April 10, 1941 Edward Warrick, 78, Ex-Supervisor, Dies The death of Edward Rankin Warrick, 78, well known Broadwell township farmer and a member of the Logan County board of supervisors for 17 years, occurred at his residence, south of the city, at 8:25 a.m. Thursday. He had been seriously ill for the past week. Mr. Warrick represented Broadwell township on the county board for several consecutive terms and in politics was a lifelong republican. He served one year as chairman of the county board, April 1925 to April 1926. He was born in Logan County July 9, 1862, the son of Benjamin C. and Elizabeth Rankin Warrick. He was married in Missouri to Ella McCellacher who survives with one son, Edward, Jr., Lincoln, and one daughter, Mrs. Lydia Cooper, Atlanta. Also surviving are three brothers, William P., Lincoln; John A., Girard, and Seth A., Lincoln. The body has been removed to the Sheets funeral home to remain until services at 2 p.m. Monday. Rev. L. H. Hooe of Illiopolis will conduct the service and burial will be in Union Cemetery.
