Stephenson, Jr. In Loving Memory Donald Dean Wilson Donald Dean Wilson, 72 of Lincoln passed away at 5:22 a.m. May 5, 2006 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield. Mr. Wilson was a barber in Springfield; worked for Caterpillar Tractor in East Peoria and retired from Illinois Department of Transportation in Springfield. He was born May 7, 1933 in Gridley, IL the son of L. Cecil and Ruby Garman Wilson. He married Donna Johnson, July 15, 1956 in Lincoln. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Lincoln. He was in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was founding member of Kevin Seitzer and Tony Semple fan clubs and he was an avid Cub fan. He is survived by his wife of Lincoln; one daughter, Mary Jo (Dub) Janssen of Middletown; one son, Steve (LaDonna) Wilson of Champaign; one sister, Jean (Ralph) Olson of Bloomington; five grandchildren, Melandie (Don) Nelson of Athens, Kristen (Pete) Helton of Middletown, Kyle Janssen of Middletown, Marc Wilson of Champaign, Brennan Wilson of Champaign; three great grandchildren. Katlyn Helton of Middletown, Mirana Nelson of Athens, Klarissa Helton of Middletown. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, William Wilson. Funeral service was Monday, May 8 at 10:30 a.m. at First United Methodist Church of Lincoln with Rev. Larry Maffett and Rev. Larry Wilson officiating. Burial was in Irish Grove Cemetery in Middletown. Visitation was Sunday, May 7, 2006 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Fricke-Calvert- Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
