Stephenson, Jr., June, 2006 The Last Will and testament of Henry Bock In the Name of God, Amen, I Henry Bock of the City of Lincoln in the County of Logan and State of Illinois of the age of 79 years, being of sound mind and memory, and considering the uncertainty of this frail and transitory life, so hereby make, publish and declare this, my Last Will and Testament, in manner following, that is to say: First – I order and direct that my executor, hereafter named, pay all my just debts and funeral expenses as soon after my decease as conveniently my be. After the payment of such debts and funeral expenses Second – To my beloved wife, Katherine Bock, I give, devise, and bequeath Lots Twenty (20) and Twenty-one (21) in the Plat of Lincoln Hill, now part of the City of Lincoln, In the County of Logan and State of Illinois, the same being my Home Place where I now live, to have and to hold in fee simple. Third. Out of moneys, notes or other evidences of credits of which I die seized and possessed, I give and bequeath unto my said wife Katherine Bock, the sum of Eight Thousand Dollars, to have and to hold in fee simple. Fourth. I give and bequeath to the Deaconess Home &. Hospital of Lincoln Illinois, the sum of Two Thousand Dollars, out of the residue of my personal property after payment of my debts and the specific bequest herein above given to may said wife as aforesaid. Fifth. After the payment of the above bequests I give and bequeath to the officers or elders of the Protestant Church in Ilgesheim, Kris St. Wendell, R. B. Trier, Germany, the sum of Five Hundred Dollars. Sixth. After payment of the aforesaid bequests, I give and bequeath to the / direct descendants of Jacob Conrad, formerly of Fichtenhof, Kreis St., Wendell R. B. Trier, Germany, and to the direct descendants of Friedrich Conrad of Ilgesheim in the same district and to the direct descendants of Philill Conrad of the same place, and to the direct descendants of Carolina Haas, nee, Conrad, formerly of St. Julian in Rhenish Bavaria, and to the direct descendants of Margaret Schneider, nee, Conrad, formerly of Mittelbellenbach, Kreis St. Wendel R. B. Trier, and the direct descendants of Luise Kohl formerly of Fichtenhof, Kreis St. Wendel, R. B. Trier, Germany, the sum of Two Thousand Dollars, to be distributed and divided and paid to them by my executor hereinafter hamed, when Peace has finally been officially declared between United States and Germany, share and share alike. Seventh. All the rest, remainder and residue of my estate I hereby give, devise and bequeath to my wife Katherine Bock in fee simple. Lastly – I hereby nominate and appoint Jacob Lauer, of Broadwell Illinois, To be the Executor, of this, my Last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former Wills and Codicils by me made. In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal, this 18th day of May in the year of our Lord One Thousand Nine Hundred and Twenty (A. D. 1920) Henrik Bock (seal) This Instrument was, on the day of the date thereof, signed, published and declared by the said Testator to be his Last Will and Testament, in the presence of us, who, at his request, have subscribed our names hereto, as Witnesses, to his presence, and in the presence of each other. And we hereby do further certify that at the time of the signing and sealing of said instrument we believed the said testator to be of sound mind and memory and under no constraint. Joseph A.
