Obituary of Anna Musselman STARE, Macon County, Illinois This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Diane Rayburn Mrs Stare died last evening as result of burns. Injuries of a fearful kind were inflicted. Mrs Moses A Stare died Wednesday evening at 6 oclock at her home 361 East Bradford Street. Death was the result of severe burns she received last Saturday. Mrs Stare has suffered a great deal being in constant pain. More than one third of her body was burned. The accident happened Saturday, Mrs Stare overturned an oil lamp and her clothing caught fire and she was in flames when discovered by her husband. Mrs Stare has been a great sufferer from rheumatism for a number of years and this hastened her death. Anna Musselman Stare was born in Lancaster County, Penn. April 29 1835. She came east with her parents in 1857, and was married to Mr Stare in 1862. They have lived in Decatur since that time. She is survived by her husband, two brothers and three sisters, Jacob Musselman of Linden IA. John Musselman of Ohio, Mrs Elizabeth Walcer of Piatt Co, Mrs Fannie Magee of Decatur and Barbara Albert of Long Creek. The funeral will be held Friday from the residence at 361 East Bradford Street.
