Hew was in comparatively good health up until Sunday night. He went to bed a short time before dark and his daughter found him when she ent to call him in the morning. He had been complaining for the past few days about a slight pain in his heart, but no one gave any serious tought to the matter. He was in Decatur Saturday and enjoyed enjoyed the circus. Coroner C E Dawson was notified of the death Monday morning and an inquest was held. The jury returned a verdict that death was caused by rheumatism of the heart. Mr. Bowman was a widower. He was the father of ten children who survive him, and who are Frank, C.S., J.H., John, W.N, James, and Mrs John Fahay, all of Decatur. Mrs J Veech of Oakley, and Tony and Miss Augusta who live at home. The arrangements for the funeral has not yet been made and will be announced later.
