Eugene Bowman, 50, Dies in St. Mary's
Retired As Staley Emploe 15 Years Ago Because of Health
  Eugene Bowman, 50, of 827 North Church street, died at 7:10 a.m. today in 
St. Mary's hosepital.  He had heart trouble and was taken to the hospital 
yesterday.
  Mr. Bowman was born in Decatur and lived here all his life.  He was an 
employe of the A. E. Staley. Mfg. Co. until his retirement because of ill 
health 15 years ago.  He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic church.
  He leaves an aunt, Mrs. W. W. Conlin, Decatur and three uncles, T. J. Ryan, 
Joseph Bowman and William Bowman, all of Decatur.  
  The body was taken to the J. J. Moran & Sons funeral home where friends may 
call after 10 a.m. tomorrow.  Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday 
in St. Patrick's Catholic church. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery.
