B. Hanks, died at her home, three miles southwest of Maroa, on Saturday evening of apoplexy, aged 55 years. She was born in Cumberland county, Pennsylvania, November 27, 1832, and with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Wykle, came to Macon county many years ago. In 1953 she was married to William Benjamin Hanks; nine children were born to them, eight of whom survive her. Since 1851 she has been a consistent member of the Church of God. The funeral occurred yesterday, Rev. W. I. Berkstresser conducting the services. The remains were interred in Boiling Springs cemetery. Additional Comments: Adaline had many different spelling of her maiden name. She was married to William Benjamin Hanks September 22, 1853.
