MRS. lAURA S. KNOWLES SUCCUMBS SUDDENLY
Mrs. Laura S. Knowles of 711 Fairlawn avenue died at 5 o'clock Thursday 
morning at the home of Frank Clark 815 E. Cantrell Street.  She was about 73 
years old.  She was born in Sangamon county but had lived in Macon county for 
a long time. Since the death of Mrs. Clark a few days ago an aunt of Mr. Clark 
had been keeping house for him.
HERE ON VISIT: A few days ago Mrs. Knowles came to visit the aunt.  The two 
women occupied the same bed Wednesday night.  Mrs. Knowles was suddenly taken 
ill about 4 o'clock Thursday morning.  A physician was called but she died 
shortly after he arrived.
THREE CHILDREN:  Mrs. Knowles is survived by two sons, Frank and George 
Gregory of Decatur, and a daughter, Mrs. C. H. Bean of Blue Mound.  She also 
leaves a brother, Mr. Stone, of Springfield.  The body was removed to Dawson 
undertaking establishment and prepared for burial, and will be taken to Blue 
Mound.
FUNERAL:  Short funeral services over the body of Mrs. Laura S Knowles will be 
held at 10 o'clock Friday morning at the Dawson undertaking parlors.
