Kennedy died July 26th 1860 St. Louis Well you asked to know about Frank he is here with us. he is afflicted with epilepsy and suffers a great deal at times with fits. he has been so now about five years and gradually grows worse. he is not capable of attending to any thing now and scarcely be trusted out of sight as he is likely to take fits at any time although he is a stout hearty looking fellow his mind is becoming weeker all the time and I would not be surprised if he went crazy yet we have had Doctors to see him but they say he cannot be cured. Times are hard here and I am harder run than I have ever been, just now. but if we get a good crop year I think we will come out all right after while, we are all still living together just as we did before I married, and still expect to as I will have to take care of them as long as they live, as it is getting late and I have nothing of importance I will close hoping this may find you as well as it leaves us yours James Underwood Ma says she dont recollect for certain but thinks you were born on Monday. **************************************************************** USGENWEB NOTICE: In keeping with our policy of providing free information on the Internet, data may be used by non-commercial entities, as long as this message remains on all copied material.
