He married JUDITH/JULIA/JUDY BROWN LIVELY July 26, 1818 in Jefferson Co TN, daughter of Leonard BROWN and Ann MCENTIRE BROWN (MCENTIRE not maiden; maiden unknown). Notes: Anderson and Judith listed numbers 27 and 76 respectively on the Charter Roll of members for the new meeting house of the Friendship Primitive Baptist Church that was formed 12 Mar 1819 on Long Creek near White Pine, Jefferson Co TN. Anderson Skeen listed on the 1830 East TN Census, Jefferson Co, p 331. Anderson Skeen bought Federal Land 8 Aug 1834 (40 acres in Macoupin Co while residing in Greene Co) and 22 Oct 1834 (40 acres in Macoupin Co, now residing in Macoupin Co) Joseph Anderson Skeen is buried in Smith-Kirby Cemetery, now called Chesterfield Cemetery, located about a mile northeast of Chesterfield on Route 111.
