Arnett Dead. Word has been received of the death of John H. Arnett, of Bird township, who died at 7 o’clock this Wednesday morning. His death was not unexpected, as he had been sick for some time. Mr. Arnett’s parents came here from Tennessee in 1835, where Mr. Arnett was born Sept. 28, 1838. Here he has lived all his life, except for a short time. In 1863, he went to California, where he remained two years. Mr. Arnett was one of a family of seven sons and five daughters, and was married to Miss Hannah Mille a former resident of this city, in Memphis, Tenn., on May 21, 1874, who with eight children mourn his death. He was a public spirited man and during his life filled several important offices, being postmaster at Delay, and he served three terms as supervisor, treasurer of the township and justice of the peace. No arrangement yet as to the time of funeral notice of which will be published later.
