Born in Medora, daughter of Ruby (Owens) Bowker of Medora and the late Truman Bowker, she worked at Mobil Chemical Co., in Jacksonville. She married Francis Coleman in 1948, and he survives. Surviving, besides her mother and husband, are four sisters, Viola Kirchner of Greenfield, Lela Harding and Annie Bowker, both of Medora and Doris Pruitt of Rockbridge; six brothers, James Bowker of Alton, Milford Bowker of Tennessee, Claude Bowker of Carrollton, Lloyd Bowker of Medora, Gene Bowker of Godfrey and Bill Bowker of Indiana. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 pm. Wednesday at Warner-Targhetta Funeral Home in Medora and until noon thursday, when visitation will continue at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church until service time at 2 p.m. with the Rev. William Loafman officiating. Burial will be in Medora Cemetery. The Diabetes Association has been named as a memorial. Casketbearers will be nephews, Eldon Kirchner, Dave Bowker, Gary Bowker, Jim Bowker, Steve Pruitt and John Gray.
