Train Kills Palmyra Farmer
John Comerer, a prominent farmer of Palmyra, returning from delivering milk to 
a dairy company, was struck by an Illinois Central passenger train and 
instantly killed. He was in a covered wagon and failed ______ the crossing 
signal.
