Name of Deceased: CORDER, PAUL ORIS Name of Newspaper: Greene Prairie Press Date of Obituary: Obituary: PAUL O. CORDER, 55, FORMER WHITE HALL RESIDENT, DIES Paul O. Corder, 55, of Mission, Kan., died Tuesday morning, Oct. 26, following an extended illness. He was a former resident of White Hall. Mr. Corder was born May 7, 1910, at Nilwood, and was the son of the late Cleve and Alda Corder. He was graduated from the White Hall High School with the class of 1928, and later from Chillicothe Business College, Chillicothe, MO.. He started as an engineer for the American Telegraph and Telephone, at Chicago, in 1939, and for many years was located at Fargo, N.D. Seven years ago, he was ttrasferred to the Kansas City branch of the company. The deceased was united in marriage, in 1931, to the former Miss Esther Rose of this city, and she survives along with four children, Don of Yankton, S.D.; Linda, Kansas City; Shirley and Dave, at home. His parents preceded him in death in 1948. He also leaves two brothers, Virgil of Des Moines, Ia., and Wayne of Minneapolis, Minn. During his high school career, Corder excelled in football, baseketball and track. At one time he held a number of track and field records in this area. He also had the distincion of bowling a "300" game in league competition after moving to Fargo. Funeral services were held Thurdsday afternoon, Oct. 28, at 2 o'clock, at the Amos Funeral Chapel, Shawnee, Kan. Interment was in Kansas City, Kan.
