Name of Deceased: CORDER, NANCY ELLINDER Name of Newspaper: The Pawnee Courier Dispatch Date of Obituary: Mar. 24th, 1904 Obituary: Nellie Price was born in Hart County, Kentucky on June 1st, 1823, and died March 17th, 1904, at the home of her daughter, Nancy Trimble, eight miles southwest of pawnee. The remains were interred in the Lela cemetery, March 18, at 2 o'clock p.m., Brother Ross officiating. At the age of 18 she united with the Baptist church, of which she has been a faithful member ever since. At the age of 23 she was married to Joseph Corder. Her husband was called away 27 years ago. She was the mother of eleven children, seven of whom survived her; three sons in Illinois, one in Kansas; one daughter in Montana, and two daughters in Oklahoma with whom she had made her home for the last ten years. Besides her seven children she leaves 21 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Grandma Corder, as she was familiarly called, was well known and loved by all in the community. She was a faithful Christian, a loving mother, a true friend and a general favorite. She suffered much during the last few years of her life, but she bore her trials with geat fortitude. Although nearly 81 years of age her mental faculties. She lived a long and useful life and will be sadly missed by her many friends. During the last few days of her illness she often prayed to be taken away; her prayer were answered ans she has gone to a brighter world to meet the loved ones gone before. There's a vacant chair by the fireside; There's a vacant place in my heart, But I know there's a brither home in heaven, Where loved ones never part.
