The cause of death was a fatal heart attack that occurred in Clear lake, Sherburne County Minnesota where the family cabin was located. Born April 30th, 1914 in Atwater, Macoupin County Illinois, to Annice Alda (Hart) and Grover Cleveland Corder. As a youngster, he moved with his parents to live and grow up in Whitehall, Greene County Illinois. During his youth he was very active in sports dispite his crippled right arm that occurred during his birth, as doctors attemped to revive him from not breathing which they referred to as being born as a blue baby. He graduated from highschool in 1932 and went on to attend school at Chillicothe Business College in Chillicothe, Missouri. Upon graduation in 1935 he moved to Chicago, where his oldest brother, Virgil and his wife where living, and started a job with an insurance company. While there he married Alma G. Cowan whom he had previously met and dated during his stay at the Chillicothe Business College. They stayed in Chicago only a short time and moved next to Detroit, Michigan were he started a job with Central Airlines. While there, they had two children. In March 1938 they moved again, and this time to St. Paul/Minneapolis, Minnesota where started a new job routing aircraft for Northwest Airlines. He stayed with NWA for 39 years until retirement in 1978. During their early years Wayne and Alma had 5 children (3 boys and 2 girls) who all survive him along with his wife Alma: Gary (Dianne) in Eden Prairie, MN, Ronald (Norene) in Bloomington, MN, Karen (Fredrick) Brown in Albuquerque, NM, Robert (Linda) in Atikin, MN and Jo Annice (Michael Jensen of Edina, MN. His retirement years were good as he enjoyed his church membership, bowling with two different men’s teams, lengthy walks and their stays up at the family cabin they purchased back in 1953. It was this cabin where he had has fatal heart attack while picking up limbs blown down by a recent storm. Additional Comments: (written by son Gary N.
