Obituary: Sarah Ann EDWARDS was born in Stalbridge, County of Dorset, England, in 
the month of August 1851. Died at her home near Bunker Hill, Ill., February 16th, 1920, 
age 68 years and 5 months. About the year 1870 she was united in marriage to John 
EDWARDS who preceeded her to the great beyond, March 4th 1914. They came to this 
country in May 1883, and settled near Bunker Hill. She leaves to mourn her departure, 
two daughters, Mrs. Bessie SMITH and Mrs. Alice EDSALL, and twelve grandchildren, 
also 3 sisters in England and a host of other relatives and friends. She was converted and 
professed faith in Christ as her Savior and was baptized and united with the Centerville 
Bethlehem Baptist Church, August 14th 1910. Funeral services were held at the 
Centerville Baptist church, Thursday February 19th at 11 o'clock. Rev. E. W. Shields of 
Girard officiating. Interment in Bunker Hill cemetery. Weep not that her toils are over, 
Weep not that her race is run God grant we may rest as calmly, When our work, like 
hers, is done. Till then we yield with gladness, Our mother to Him to keep, And rejoice 
in the sweet assurance "He giveth His loved one sleep."
