Obituary:  William A. Eskew, 93, of Girard, a retired farmer, died at 8 a.m. 
Wednesday, Feb. 8, (1967) at Lakeview Nursing Home, in Carlinville. He is survived 
by one son, Eldon of Hood River, Ore.; four daughters, Mrs. Hazel McCollum of 
Plant City, Fla., Miss Helen Eskew of Nilwood, Mrs. Elma Lyman of Springfield, 
Mrs. Elberta Adcock of Eaton Park, Fla,; three half-brothers, Henry Myers of  
Auburn, A.J. Wood of Tracy, Calif., Hubert Wood of Girard; seven grandchildren and 
15 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Berry Funeral 
home, Girard, with Rev. Fred Dietderich officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove 
Cemetery. (William Eskew was my paternal Grandfather.)
