"Dusty" RIPPLINGER of Belvidere died May 16, 1997, at Rush- Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center, Chicago, after a lengthy illness. He was born Jan. 4, 1941, in Barton, ND., the son of Frank and Anna (FISCHER) RIPPLINGER. He married Pamela S. ROBERTSON on June 20, 1970, in Belvidere. He graduated from Rugby ND. High School in 1960. Mr. RIPPLINGER was a Belvidere resident since 1966, previously residing in North Dakota. He was employed by Auto Releasing Inc. as a yard man for 28 years. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member and past master of Belvidere Masonic Lodge 60 AF & AM; Member of Scottish Rite, Valley of Freeport; member of Rockford Local 325 of the Teamsters union; former assistant Scout master for Belvidere Troop 141; a volunteer for the Boone County Girl Scouts and a former assistant coach for the Belvidere Youth Baseball. Survivors include his wife, Pamela; mother-in-law, Arlene ROBERTSON of Belvidere; daughter, Jeralyn (Troy) GREEN of Caledonia, and son Skyler (Jenni LANG - fiancee) RIPPLINGER of Belvidere; Bryan (Connie) RIPPLINGER, Kevin RIPPLINGER and Dawnita RIPPLINGER, all of Janesville, Wis.; two sisters, Jennie (Ted) WHITACRE of Broomfield, Colo. and Lynn (Rich) BRECHT of Champlin, Minn.; five brothers, Christ RIPPLINGER of Minneapolis, Minn., Joe (Anna Mae) RIPPLINGER of Underwood, Minn., Alex (Darlene) RIPPLINGER of Phoenix, Ariz., Andrew (Carol) RIPPLINGER of Kalispell, Mont. and James (Annie) RIPPLINGER of Minnewauken, ND.; eight grandchildren, Abbey and Austin GREEN of Caledonia, and Rebecca, Elizabeth, Jessica, Adriana, Rachel and Julia RIPPLINGER, all of Janesville; and a special friend, Larry SMITH of Belvidere. He was preceded in death by his parents; one granddaughter, Raven RIPPLINGER, and a brother, Steven RIPPLINGER. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Williamson Funeral Home, Staunton, Ill. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Funeral Home and from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton. Masonic Rites will be held at 8 p.m. Monday in Belvidere. A memorial has been established in his name.
