MRS. CHRISTINE SCHAEPER PASSED AWAY AT HOME OF HER DAUGHTER Mrs. Christine SCHAEPER, for the past 50 years a resident of our city, on Monday afternoon 12:30 o'clock passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred MORGAN. She was 80 years, 7 months, 14 days of age and death came following a lingering illness. Mrs. SCHAEPER whose maiden name was HACKMAN, was born in Westphalen, Germany on Feb 5, 1852. On March 5, 1876, she was united in marriage with Fred SCHAEPER and of their union six children were born. Mr. and Mrs. SCHAEPER came to Staunton to reside in 1883. Fifteen years ago Mr SCHAEPER was claimed by death and 4 of the children also preceeded their mother into the unknown beyond. Twin sons died in Germany; Minnie aged 13 passed away in 1889 and Louis SCHAEPER was killed in an accident at #7 mine in 1924. The funeral will take place this afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the MORGAN home followed by services at 2 o'clock at the St. Paul church, Rev. A. H. WEGENER officiating. Interment will be at Staunton City cemetery.
