Enquirer Date of Obituary: October 25, 1893 Obituary: Died, at his residence in South Otter, on Wednesday, Oct. 11, at 6 o'clock p.m., Mr. Levi SURBER, after a long and lingering illness of more than two years, yet through all of his afflictions he was very patient and exhibited a great deal of Christian fortitude, expressing a willingness to be released from suffering. He was born in Tennessee in 1840 and was about 53 years of age at the time of his death. The funeral was preached at the residence by Rev. J. GIBSON, assisted by Charles GIBSON of the Dunkard church, of which the deceased was an honored and respected member at the time of his death, after which the remains were conveyed in the Crawford cemetery and there consigned to the tomb to await the resurrection of the just. He leaves a wife, seven children, one sister and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his loss.
