Dad went out and started picking up fallen branches caused by a storm during the past week. He stopped and went into the cabin for a rest and mentioned to my mother he was really out of breath and had to rest. He then went back outside where he continued picking up branches. My mother looked out back a short time later and saw him face down and not moving. She ran, the best she could at age 90 years, and tried to revive him. Unable to revive him, she ran to the neighbors for help. One neighbor gave him CPR, and another called 911 for help. Paramedics arrived, got him breathing on his own, and bought him to the nearest hospital. He never regained consciousness. written by: son Gary N. Corder Additional Comments: The family thanks the neighbors for their assistance, as this allowed the family members the opportunity to say goodbye before the doctors pulled the respirator.
