All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm Submitted by: Zella Armstrong MARTIN PRUITT Martin Pruitt applied for revolutionary pension while living in Madison County, Illinois, in September, 1832 when he was 84 years of age. He was therefore born 1748. He enlisted while living in Washington County, Virginia, in Captain William Campbell's company as a spy and served for two years. When Captain Campbell was promoted to be a Colonel, Martin Pruitt served in Captain William Edmiston's company. He was in the battle of King's Mountain.
