His death occurred yesterday morning at 12:30 o'clock a malignant growth with which he had been ailing for the past year. About three months ago the doctors advised a surgical operation as the last resort and he entered St. Joseph's hospital at Highland. The operation brought but temporary relief and a month ago he had a serious relapse. For several days relatives realized that the end was radily drawing near. He will be buried at Lebanon, following the last rites, where he spent his younger life. Mr. Rable was a brother of Mrs. Henry Hellinger of Edwardsville and known to a number here. He was born at Lebanon on April 28, 1875 and had attained the age of 49 years, 5 months and 23 days of age. His parents were Mr. and Mrs. Albert Rable, the father being dead and his aged mother, Mrs. Emma Rable being among the survivors. As a young man he worked as a coal miner. Eighteen years ago he gave up the coal mines and took up life as a farmer. He followed that life since on Sugar Creek. In July 1899 he was married to Miss Ethel Qincento and the widow and two children survive. The children are Harry Rable, Jr., who lives at home, and Earl Rable of Chicago. Besides Mrs. Hellinger there are two other sisters and six brothers. The other sisters are Mrs. John Wagoner of Trenton and Mrs. John Scoby of Quincy, IL. The brothers are John, Joseph, George, Charles, Albert and James Rable, all of Lebanon.
