Obituary of Richard Buster EDMISTON, Madison County, Illinois This file was contributed for use in the USGenWeb Archives by: Bobby Leon Edmiston Obituary: Richard Buster Edmiston Richard Buster Edmiston, 78, of Granite City died at 4:45 pm on Wednesday, July 29, 1992 at his residence. Mr. Edmiston was born March 13, 1914 in Moscow, Fayette County, Tennessee and had resided in the Granite City area for 37 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was an employee with the GM&O Railroad in Jackson, Tennessee until the 1950's, and then an Oiler the rest of the time prior to the time of his retirement at the Venice, Illnois site. He was a Pentecostal Christian and a part time Evangelist. Survivors include his wife, Nellie Coleman Edmiston whom he married in 1958, He had no children by this marriage. His former wife Helen Morgan whom he married April 11, 1933, four children, Bobby Leon Edmiston of Florence, Arizona and Billy Wayne Edmiston of Tucson, Arizona, Two children preceded him in death, Charles David Edmiston, who died as an infant in 1950, and Richard Eugene Edmiston, who died in Phoenix, Arizona in 1974; one sister, Elizabeth Perry of Jackson, Tennessee, and three Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, J. Edgar Edmiston and Annie Mae (Waderick)Edmiston. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today, Thursday at Warner Chapel, 3939 Lake Drive, Pontoon Beach for funeral, where services will be conducted on Friday (time pending) with the Rev. Roe officiating. Burial will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis.
