Scheffer vs Julie Scheffer Article dated September 20, 1921 Mrs. Madge Kingston of Madison wants a divorce from Albert Gingston (exactly as it is listed in the article) whom she says is in the Southern Illinois Penitentiary at Chester serving time for forgery. Acoording to the papers, he was sent to prison from the St. Clair county circuit court on may 4, 1918 and is still confined. They were married January 14, 1918 and separated may 1, 1918. In her petition she says he was convicted under aliases of Elmer Smith and Roy Johnson. Mrs. Ella Ozzas of Collinsville asks a divorce from Benj. Ozzas. They were married at Carlinville on April 21 1913 and separated January 1, 1921. She charges cruilty and says in her bill that her husband threatened her life. She also charges desertion. She has three children. Mrs. Bertha Elizabeth Shannon of Worden wants a separate mainentance and injuction against Thomas Jackson Shannon. She charges cruelty and says he abandoned her on June 27, 1921. They were married June 25, 1918. The injuction is sought to restrain him from selling the property. Mrs. Anna Moore of Edwardsville asks a divorce from Jesse Moore. She says he is at present living at Indianapolis, Indiana. Cruelty is the charge. They have two children. They were married March 10, 1917 and separated during February, 1921. Benjamin Dalton of Venice asks a divorce from Mrs. Elsie Dalton now living in St. Louis. Desertion is the charge. They were married June 15, 1916 and separated March 7, 1918.
