Nineteenth Annual Report of the Illinois Bureau of Labor Statistics, 1900
June 1, 1900, Dominica Beonda, miner, aged 24 years, single, employed in the 
Sandoval Coal Co.’s mine, Sandoval, while mining off some coal, a piece of top 
coal, about one cubic foot in size, fell, breaking his leg about two inches above 
the ankle. After his leg had been dressed he went to sleep and never awoke; the 
doctor in attendance said his death was due to urineic poisoning.
