Lacon Home Journal News Articles June 3, 1920 - Marshall County, Illinois local news in the lacon home journal thursday June 3, 1920 LA PRAIRIE Saturday, May 29, was Mr and Mrs Charles Kimble's thirty-first wedding anniversary. Unbeknown to them their children invited a number of their friends in to help celebrate. A delightful time was enjoyed and delicious refreshments were served. LA ROSE Miss Marie Newman, teacher the past year in the intermediate room of the LaRose school, left Sunday afternoon for her home in Woodhull. Miss Newman will become the bride of Harry Felt, of Chatsworth, late in the summer, after which her home will be on a farm near that city. Miss Ida Carlson, of Monica, has been visiting for a few days wih her sister, Mrs. Strodtman. She reports the arrival of a baby daughter a few weeks ago at the home of her parents, Oscar Carlson, and wife. Mrs. W. Rudolph is in the country at the home of her daughter, Mrs Ed Kaatz, and husband at whose home a baby girl was born last Thursday. Dr, Eastman and family drove up from Peoria thursday morning to attend the funeral services of the late Miss Silence Justice, of Varna, and to call upon their sick friends in the neighborhood. Thursday evening the doctor was taken bad with a "stitch in his back" and was not able to return home until Friday evening.
